Michael LeBlanc, LLB
Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer, Michael leads all of FCT’s offices and businesses across Canada. Michael’s main role is to build and nurture key business relationships while empowering employees to do the same. Michael serves on the board of directors of FCT Insurance Company and as Chief Agent in Canada for First American Title Insurance Company. Michael joined FCT in 1994 and has never looked back – excelling at a series of complex roles that have helped make FCT the industry leader it is today.
With a law degree from Dalhousie University, Michael was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1978 and is a member of the Nova Scotia Barrister’s Society. Despite a demanding work schedule, Michael has been actively involved in many community and volunteer boards and most recently served as past President on the Board of Skate Oakville after a five-year term as President. If you ask any FCT employee, they will say that Michael is a hands-on, approachable executive with enviable passion and drive. His mind-set of “yes we can,” together with an energetic personality and contagious positivity, have helped earn FCT the designation as one of Canada’s most engaged workplaces.
Paul Miron, LLB
Senior Title Counsel
Paul is responsible for the national underwriting of all FCT product lines, with an emphasis on the commercial segment. Since joining FCT in 2003, Paul’s unflappable, sunny personality and vast knowledge of the ever-changing legal landscape have earned him a number of increasingly senior roles which have directly contributed to FCT’s success. In addition to his current title as Senior Title Counsel, Paul is also Senior International Underwriter for First American Title Insurance Company (FATIC), FCT’s parent company.
Paul earned a bachelor of arts from the University of Ottawa in 1982 and a degree in law from the University of Windsor in 1985. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1987. Paul is also an avid curler and reader.
Lori Sartor, MBA
Vice President, Residential Solutions and Marketing
Lori drives strategic direction, operations and product innovation for the residential division at FCT.
During her long tenure with the company that spans over 17 years, her commitment, loyalty and passion have helped drive her teams toward service excellence. Lori is the consummate professional, but is also an open and supportive leader that colleagues and customers alike immediately warm to.
In 2004, Lori completed her masters in business administration from York University’s Schulich School of Business, with a focus on marketing and strategic management. She also holds an honours bachelor of arts from McMaster University and a legal assistant diploma from Fanshawe College.
Eric Haslett, LLB
Vice-President, National Accounts, Commercial Solutions
As Vice-President, National Accounts, Commercial Solutions, Eric is responsible for building FCT’s commercial business by fostering key relationships with national lenders and major law firms. Relying on his extensive experience and niche expertise, Eric’s goal is to promote education and best practices throughout the commercial real estate marketplace.
Since joining FCT in 2001, Eric has made significant contributions to FCT’s reputation for innovative insurance solutions with his extensive business acumen and ability to look beyond the expected to surpass customer expectations. His quick, dry wit makes him a pleasure to work with and the “go-to-guy” for MCing FCT events. He is now also the author of The FCT Advisor, an educational newsletter for legal professionals.
Eric earned his bachelor of commerce from McMaster University in 1990 and later graduated from the Faculty of Law at The University of Western Ontario. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997. Eric is passionate about golf and delivering outstanding customer service.
John Tracy, BA, LLB
John worked in the private practice of law for 11 years, where he focused on real estate prior to joining FCT as Legal Counsel. In this role, John is responsible for handling title insurance claims, with a keen focus on fraud. John serves on a team mandated to analyze fraud with the goal of developing underwriting tools and procedures to prevent fraud altogether. Because of his easy-going nature and strong public speaking skills, John is a sought-after speaker for FCT-hosted seminars. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals (CAAMP) Mortgage Fraud Prevention Subcommittee. John was called to the Ontario Bar in 1993 after attending McGill and Queen’s Universities.
Daniela DeTommaso, LLB
Vice-President, Residential Lending Solutions
As Vice-President of Residential Lending Solutions, Daniela oversees every aspect of title insurance and mortgage document processing for lenders, nationwide — a demanding task given that we proudly support more than 300!
Daniela joined FCT over 20 years ago as legal counsel, and prior to that, worked in the financial industry. As a result, she has a solid understanding of both legal and lending worlds and is in a strong position to help FCT deliver best-in-class processes and products. Her goal is to ensure a superior customer experience for lending professionals, their partners and customers alike. Daniela is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Ontario, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1996.
Vice-President, Commercial Solutions, National Sales and Business Development
In his current role, Renzo is responsible not only for leading and growing FCT’s Commercial Solutions division, but also for heading up the entire sales team across Canada, outside of Quebec. With a relentless commitment to advancing customer advocacy and engaging employees, he oversees every aspect of developing the business and delivering the innovative products that drive it.
Renzo joined FCT in 2007, bringing extensive financial service industry experience and a drive for providing service excellence to FCT’s diverse customer base. He has taken on progressively more complex roles throughout his tenure at FCT, including Vice-President, National Operations and Vice-President, Commercial Solutions. Prior to joining FCT, Renzo spent over 26 years with TD Canada Trust in senior-level positions, including time as the vice-president responsible for the retail branch network in various markets throughout South Western Ontario.

Zsolt J. Névery
Chief Operations Officer for Quebec
Zsolt J. Névery is the Chief Operations Officer for Quebec at FCT. With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Névery is recognized for his expertise in many areas of the financial services industry. Along with managing multidisciplinary teams, he steers FCT’s growth in the Quebec market by ensuring that the company’s portfolio of services, including mortgage refinancing and residential and commercial solutions, is sustainably managed and continuously improved.
A native of Montreal, Mr. Névery supports two causes that are particularly close to his heart—the Marie-Vincent Foundation and the Montreal Shriners Hospital for Children. Mr. Névery holds a Master of Business Administration (marketing and international management) from HEC Montréal and a Bachelor of Business Administration (finance) from McGill University.
